The world can be scary out there. We are surrounded by animals which are much more dangerous than we really think. Sharks may top the list in bloodiest animals and spiders have the phobia department but there are many more animals which may terrify you in the wild.
Here are some planet’s deadliest animals which might look harmless:
1. Pufferfish
They are considered to be the second most poisonous vertebrate in the world. They’re cute with their balloons like portly body but don’t be deceived for a second as they are highly poisonous. Yet, they are a delicacy in Japan and China and are prepared by trained chefs., who knows which parts of their bodies and edible.
2. Cassowary
This Australian docile looking turkey like a flightless bird can be very dangerous when provoked. Their razor-sharp claws can easily slash you open. Cassowaries have severely wounded and mauled hundreds of people.
3. Slow Loris
Don’t be smitten by their pretty brown eyes. They may seem innocent and helpless but they are perhaps the only venomous mammals in the whole world. And that’s what makes them dangerous. Their venom is stashed in their elbows, which they mix with their saliva before bitting the victim. Their bite may lead to death.
4. Moose
They are easily liked for their silly grinning faces but in reality, they attack humans more than bears do. Usually, they steer clear of humans but can turn into a deadly charging machine when provoked or when protecting a calf.
5. Blue-Ringed Octopus
These cute looking creatures are some of the most venomous creatures on the earth. They bite when stepped on or threatened. There is no anti-venom for their poison and death is quick to come once bitten.
6. Poison Dart Frogs
Their bright colours may attract you but be wary. They are one of the most poisonous animals on our planet. They secrete poison through their skin. Americans from the old times used to poison their arrows with the venom of these frogs, hence the name Poison Dart Frogs.
7. Tsetse Flies
You might overlook this creature considering a fly but these Tsetse Flies spreads a condition called sleeping sickness, it a parasitic infection which can begin with headache, fever and joint pain but later it can lead to a neurological disorder.
8. Cone Snail
These brown-and-white snails live in the warm Caribbean and Hawaiian waters. Incredibly toxic venom of the geographic cone snail has to be strong enough to paralyze instantly. Once the nose of a cone snail senses food nearby, it deploys a sharp proboscis, or a needle-like protrusion, from its mouth.
