The 2018 Men’s Hockey World Cup is the 14th Hockey World Cup field hockey tournament. It is being held from 28 November to 16 December 2018, at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar, India.
The stadium looks incredible, most tickets have been sold out and the spirit of hockey is relied upon to be better than anyone might have expected.
The opening celebration, which was just about a three-hour long , passed on an incredible message of “oneness of humanity”.
Bollywood stars Shah Rukh Khan and Madhuri Dixit and Oscar-winning music composer AR Rahman entertained the audience at the opening function of Men’s Hockey World Cup in Bhubaneswar on Tuesday.
Making a step further towards understanding the dream of restoring the glory of Indian Hockey at the worldwide level, the state government is sponsoring the Indian Hockey teams until 2023.

India is placed in Pool C of the tournament. Manpreet Singh will lead the Indian group in the competition, while Chinglensana Singh will be his delegate.
