Lal Singh Chaddha: Aamir Khan’s Hindi Remake of Forrest Gump

Aamir Khan next big picture is Lal Singh Chaddha which is the Hindi remake of popular Hollywood classic, 1994 ‘Forrest Gump’.

This movie is expected to release around Christmas,2020 produced by Aamir Khan production and Viacom18 Motion pictures.

The actor who tasted the failure in his last film ‘Thugs of Hindostan’, stated the shooting will start in October and he would be losing around 20kg for this role in Lal Singh Chaddha. The actor also told he will be wearing Turban for some segments of the film.

Forrest Gump which was directed by Robert Zemeckis won 6 Oscars including best picture, best director and best actor for Tom Hanks. It is an American Comedy-Drama movie of a remarkably kind and gentle person whom people usually call ‘mildly retarded’. It is true that he is not very clever but he is very lucky as he has a mother and friend who love him greatly. Along the way, he sees many historical personalities and events throughout his life. The movie ends with Forrest seeing his son off on his first day of the school.

When he was asked why he decided to make a remake of this film, he said he has enjoyed the movie script and it has a wonderful narrative which rotates around the character. He also added this movie is a family entertainer and a feel-good movie.


It is also being reported that Laal Singh Chaddha might clash with Hrithik Roshan-starrer Krrish 4.
