PM Modi Dropped ‘CHOWKIDAR’, Prefix From His Twitter Handle

Modi had driven the ‘Main Bhi Chowkidar’ campaign on 17th March, calling upon Indian citizens to take the vow to battle against corruption and other social shades of hate.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday night wiped out the prefix ‘Chowkidar’ from his official twitter with and BJP president Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh and Arun Jaitley also followed suit and dropped the prefix from their profiles.

PM Narendra Modi addressed on Twitter, the citizens of India ‘rendered extraordinary service to the country’.

On twitter PM Narendra Modi wrote, “Now, the time has come to take the Chowkidar Spirit to the next level.

Keep this spirit alive at every moment and continue working for India’s progress.

The word ‘Chowkidar’ goes from my Twitter name but it continues an essential part of me. Requesting you all to do the same too!”

PM Narendra Modi also wrote “The people of India became Chowkidars and rendered great service to the nation. Chowkidar has become a powerful symbol to safeguard India from the evils of casteism, communalism, corruption and cronyism.”

PM Narendra Modi additionally expressed “The citizens of India progressed toward becoming Chowkidars and rendered extraordinary support of the country. Chowkidar has turned into a ground-breaking image to defend India from the shades of the evil of casteism, communalism, corruption and nepotism.”

Union Cabinet Minister of Textiles Smriti Irani and Minister of Coal and railroads Piyush Goyal are among the BJP pioneers who also dropped the titles
