Harmanpreet smashing her first T20 hundred

It is a commemorate moment not only for Harmanpreet Kaur but also for India, the first ever Indian to score a century in women T-20. This innings will be remembered for ages among the cricket lovers with a score of 103 runs in just 51 deliveries smashing 7 fours and 8 sixes making it a delight to watch for the viewers. With her devotion and well – executed hundred India registered an easy win against the New Zealand in their first match of Women’s World T-20.

The India’s score of 194/5 against New Zealand is the highest ever scored by a team in Women’s World T20.
Kaur said after the match “Yesterday, I was having little bit back problem. In the morning, even I was not feeling well, when I came to the ground I was feeling a little low and getting some cramps.” Out of all this it did not let her down from giving a performance and dedication to raise the bars in all the platforms..

She also said, “When initially I was running two’s, I got a little cramp, after that the physio gave me medicine, and a little bit it settled down.” “I was not looking at how many runs I was getting; I was looking at how many we needed to win the game.”

Jemimah Rodrigues also contributing 59 runs out of 45 ball to the scoreboard made it a 34 runs win against the Kiwi’s with a total of 194/5 in 20 overs to the scoreboard. In return Kiwis could could only make a total of 160 runs in 20 overs with fall of 9 wickets. For India Playing her career first ever T20 match Dayalan Hemalatha and Poonam Yadav took 3 wickets respectively.

Harmanpreet being the man of the match deserve it all out of the pain she took for her team. Her big- hitting proves that she is all ready to challenge herself for more and waiting for even bigger things to come.
