Fruit Custard is not a big deal, this easy dessert recipe is popular among all age groups whether kids or adults.

Ingredients –

  1. Amul Full Cream Milk 1ltr
  2. Vanilla Flavoured Custard Powder
  3. Sugar
  4. Green Cardamom 2 nos
  5. Fresh Apple 2 nos
  6. Fresh Pomegranate 1 nos
  7. Cashew 10-12
  8. Almonds 10-12

Method –

Boil milk in medium flame. After the milk is boiled keep aside only one cup of milk and let it cool down. Meanwhile, add 4 tablespoons of sugar and crush green cardamom to powder and add it to the milk, make sure the flame is low. Now check for that one cup of milk, if it has cooled down to lukewarm state then add 4 tablespoons of custard powder to it and keep on stirring to avoid lumps.

Now turn off the gas. Remove the boiled milk pan from the burner and carefully add custard powder and milk mixture to the pan of boiled milk and keep on stirring to avoid any lumps. You will notice now the mixture is little consistent.

Place the pan again to the burner turn on the gas on low flame keep stirring for 1 minute and turn off the gas after desired flowy consistency is achieved.

I like thick consistency so for achieving that you can turn on the gas for 2 minutes or more till desired consistency is achieved. Now let the custard milk mixture cool down overnight in the refrigerator.

Next day dice fresh fruits and dry fruits into small pieces and add it to the custard milk and let it cool again for an hour or two. I have used apple and pomegranate only you can use grapes, banana as well.

Take out the custard from the refrigerator and garnish it with pomegranate, almonds and cashew and your fruit custard is ready to serve.
